Is there maybe a slight chance that your short film will be internationally shown? (Like Patrick's Moustachette movie in different film festivals.)

I'm pretty sure that no matter how I say this, it's going to sound patronising, but I mean it in all sincerity - it's really good to see you interacting with everyone a bit more, and working on your own projects and stuff outside of the band.

I can't even really articulate why, it just makes for a very chipper Rosie when I see stuff like this. :)

I come to NY on the 13th, maybe we'll run into each other?

I'll pre-warn you now if I do see you I will probably be the english girl going 'OMG IT'S JOE'.

I don't think i'll be able to make it, seeing as i don't exactly live nearby/in the same country, but i would love to see it if there was a way.

Yes, we are planning on going the "festival route" as they call it. We wanted to do these smaller, DIY screenings to start off with, and are currently working on getting 'The Laundry' into a few film festivals here in the states. Depending on our success rate, we will continue until we can reach international waters. Submitting to a festival and getting accepted to screen are two very different things. Submitting is as easy as sending the film, a form and a check. Getting accepted? Depends on so many things.
As far as Patrick's film goes, I don't believe 'Moustachette' has been entered/screened at any film festivals as of yet, though I could be wrong. I'm sure when he's all said and done with it, it'll go a somewhat similar route. At the end of the day, what he is doing outside of FOB and what I do outside are ususally not interconnected, though we are in full support of each others' pet projects as friends and co-weirdos.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. If it were in upstate NY, I would be able to go.

the NYC showing is only 2 days after my birthday, but i cant go since i live in southern Maryland and i have school that day. now im a little more sad cuz i cant go to Columia concert cuz i dont want to take my own mother and she wants parental supervision, i asked my friend, who is also a FOB-maniac, and if her mom would go but her mom wont, so yeah i cant go . ='[

Thanks for answering my question Joe!
I really hope the succes rate will be high, so you can expand to international waters. As for Patrick's movie, I believe that there were film festivals in Australia and Canada who were willing to show Moustachette, when it's finished ofcourse. It was announced in a blog or something on the Moustachette site a couple of weeks ago, I believe.
But anyway I wish you guys all the best of luck with your side projects and with FOB ofcourse ;-)
Take care Joe!

Love, Daphne Xo
