As Fall Out Boy took a good 6-7 months off prior to making a new record, I spent that time working on various projects. One in particular was a script for a short film written by a friend of mine, Alex Beh. We have been good friends since the days of high school (yep, I actually kept one friend I went to high school with), and we linked back up around this past summer, and I read this script of his. Needless to say, I feel in love with it from the moment I read once through. I wanted to help him make this movie, 'THE LAUNDRY'.
'THE LAUNDRY' was written, directed by, and stars Alex Beh, as well as a lot of friends who lent a helping hand:
Tony Hale (Arrested Development, Stranger Than Fiction)
Colleen Camp (Apocalypse Now, Die Hard With A Vengeance)
Joel Nunez (Superbad, 40 Year Old Virgin)
Michael Hobert (Scrubs)
Brian Pestos
Brian King
Hanie Lynch
We are doing a special private screening Thursday, December 4th at 8pm. It will be located at:
The Stronghold
800 East 3rd Street
Los Angeles
And its FREE!
All $2 PBR Proceeds go to the non-profit/cause FALLING WHISTLES (www.fallingwhistles.com) which benefits fallen child soldiers in the Congo.
I'm very proud of this film, and honestly, all I did was get the ball rolling. The names you see above, they are the ones who really made it what it is. And I hope you get the opportunity to come out to the screening. I'd truly appreciate if you could make it. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
And if you want a taste of what's to come, check out a film Alex made prior to 'THE LAUNDRY' called 'SUGAR' - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPmS-AOxUhI
It's another great short.
Over and out with the shameless plug...
